Call to Action

Let's scream with one voice. With one message. Google MUST come to Grand Rapids. We are asking all Google Fiber supporters to do one of the following items TODAY from 
6 pm - 8 pm to have our voice heard by Google as a unified, collective voice:

  • Upload a picture to your Flickr, Picasa or any other media outlets like Mlive with the tags GoogleFiber and GR
  • Tweet the message "I use Google in Grand Rapids to (fill in the blank)" with the hashtag #GoogleFiber #GR
  • Upload a video to your YouTube, Google Video or any other media outlet like MLive the tags GoogleFiber and GR
  • Comment or post on a blog or other media outlets like MLive with the message "I use Google in Grand Rapids to (fill in the blank)" with the tags GoogleFiber and GR.
Spread the word, retweet, send messages to your friends, get the word out......  We are trying to move from rank #2 to #1 based on the digital syndication as outlined in the Steketee Greiner & Company Report:

Carl Kelly is retired as the executive director for the West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology (WMCAT) where he worked in areas of budgeting, human resources, public relations, and development. He also worked at Herman Miller in management and as their supplier diversity coordinator. In his video, Carl speaks on how he feels he personally would benefit from higher internet capabilities and how he feels our city, Grand Rapids, is a “city of the future”.
